The defendant, Tracy Fowlkes, was charged by bill of information with simple burglary, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62. After trial by a jury, he was found guilty as charged. Defendant was subsequently adjudicated a multiple offender and was sentenced to eight years imprisonment at hard labor.
