Defendant Edward Pence appeals from his convictions on two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-14(b)(1), now 720 ILCS 5/12-14(b)(1) (West 1992)), for which he was sentenced to two, consecutive, 45-year extended terms of imprisonment, for a total of 90 years.
