Lionel J. Alexander was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine in violation of La.Rev.Stat.Ann. § 40:967(F) (West 1993). After defendant's motion to suppress evidence was denied, the defendant was tried by the judge and found guilty of the lesser charge of simple possession of cocaine.
