On November 23, 1982 Wilson Acevedo was convicted by a jury of aggravated kidnapping in violation of La.Rev.Stat.Ann. § 14:44 (West 1982). He was sentenced on November 23, 1982 to serve mandatory life imprisonment at hard labor. On appeal, the defendant's counsel requested only a review of the record for errors patent.
