Defendant, the Village of LaGrange Park (the Village), appeals from the circuit court order granting plaintiff, Shirley Vacala (Vacala), a new trial on the issue of damages only. Vacala was injured while riding in a car which collided with a set of railroad tracks located at the dead end of a street owned and maintained by the Village. She brought suit against the Village alleging that it was negligent in failing...
