ALLEN, Chief Justice.

Defendant appeals from an order of the Franklin District Court denying his motion to strike his sentence, following his conviction of second-degree murder. We affirm.

Defendant was accused of stabbing and killing Timothy Papineau, following a failed marijuana transaction, and was charged with second-degree murder in September 1990. He immediately moved for a competency evaluation, which was completed about a month later by psychiatrist...
