In the present case, Lisa Morgan filed suit against Mitzi Sanchez for damages she sustained in an automobile accident. In addition, Morgan sued her uninsured motorist (UM) carrier, VASA North Atlantic Insurance Company, because Sanchez's liability insurer had become insolvent.
