Based on a negotiated guilty plea, the trial court entered a judgment convicting the defendant, Anthony Provenzano, of unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 56½, par. 705(e) (now 720 ILCS 550/5(e) (West 1992))).
