This succession proceeding involves a dispute between two siblings, Shelby Melton and Frances Melton May, over property formerly owned by their deceased parents, Woodrow Wilson Melton and Nella Long Melton. Woodrow died intestate on August 8, 1971. No succession proceeding was thereafter commenced until shortly following his widow's, Nella's, death on August 30, 1990. The parties to this litigation, Shelby and Frances, are the only two children...
