VANCE, Justice.

Leonard Don Collins was indicted for possession of cocaine, less than twenty-eight grams, with intent to deliver. See Tex. HeaLTH & SAFETY CODE ANN. §§ 481.102, 481.112 (Vernon 1992 & Supp.1995). The court convicted him of the lesser offense of possession of cocaine. See id. § 481.115 (Vernon Supp.1995). Collins pleaded true to an enhancement paragraph, and the court sentenced him to sixteen years...
