This is a bad faith insurance case. Appellee, R. Chandler (Chandler) sued appellants, The Various Underwriters at Lloyds on Certificate No. 90CQ 311719286 (Underwriters) and Hull & Company, Inc. (Hull), a wholesale insurance broker, alleging that they violated Texas law in denying Chandler's claim on a $400,000 marine insurance policy which covered Chandler's yacht, the ONE FINE DAY (the yacht).
