NEWBERN, Justice.

On September 15, 1993, the Appellant, Willie Earl Jones, was tried by jury and found guilty of two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 37 years imprisonment. He appeals on the ground that the Trial Court erred in allowing evidence of a prior conviction to be admitted in violation of Ark.R.Evid. 609. We agree and reverse the conviction and remand the case.
