This appeal from a judgment dismissing the plaintiffs' suit involves the issue of whether the owners of a brick mailbox on the shoulder of a highway and the State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD), are liable to the plaintiffs in negligence for the death of their son, a passenger in a vehicle which crashed into the mailbox.
