Defendant, Mark Ross, pled guilty to attempted possession of cocaine, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967. The defendant was sentenced to serve two years at hard labor. However, the execution of the sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on supervised probation for a period of five years.
