Defendant Richard Bynum was charged on June 27, 1991, by information with possession of 10 grams or less of a controlled substance. (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 56½, par. 1402.) After trial by jury, defendant was found guilty. Following the denial of defendant's post-trial motion, defendant was sentenced to a prison term of six years. Notice of appeal was timely filed...
