OPINION

BIRCH, Justice.

On trial for first-degree murder in the Criminal Court for Shelby County, Edward Jackson, the defendant, asserted an insanity defense. This defense was, however, rejected by the jury. Jackson was found guilty as charged and was sentenced to imprisonment for life. The Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the conviction and sentence.1
