Plaintiff, Lourdes Arca, filed a three-count complaint in the circuit court of Cook County against defendants, Colonial Bank & Trust Company of Chicago (hereinafter Colonial), and Evanston Nissan, Inc. (hereinafter Nissan). Each count alleged violations of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 121½, par. 261 et seq.).
