This is an appeal by the Louisiana Patient's Compensation Fund from a judgment of the trial court in favor of Donald and Sandra Knight. The trial court awarded damages in the amount of $50,000.00 and attorney's fees in the amount of $12,500.00, ordered that the Patient's Compensation Fund guarantee payment of medical expenses to be incurred for treatment by out-of-state health care providers, and further ordered that the Fund pay reasonable travel and...
