Following a jury trial defendant Gerald Weatherspoon was found guilty of criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-13(a)(1)), robbery (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 18-1(a)) and unlawful restraint (Ill. Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 10-3(a)) and sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment. Defendant now urges this court to reverse his conviction on grounds that: (1) the trial court erred in excluding evidence...
