On 17 October 1989, plaintiff suffered injuries in an automobile accident with defendant Woodrow Lowery. Plaintiff was a passenger in a car driven by her sister and insured by The Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company (hereinafter "Hartford"), an un-named defendant in this action.
