Appellant was charged by a five count indictment with the offense of sale of a child. She was tried with her co-defendant, Leslie Thacker, an attorney, who was indicted for the offense of "purchase of a child."1 The jury found Appellant guilty, and the trial court assessed punishment at 60 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice—Institutional Division.
