The appellant, Carlton Stewart Shorter, asks this court to reverse the denial of his post-conviction motion to withdraw a guilty plea. Shorter was charged with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of kidnapping. He pleaded guilty to one count of criminal sexual conduct pursuant to a plea agreement providing for dismissal of the remaining two counts. He moved to withdraw his plea prior to sentencing.
