The defendant, Sarah Louise Thomas Williams, was originally charged by bill of information with seven counts of forgery, violations of Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:72. She entered a plea of guilty to five of the seven counts and was sentenced to eight years at hard labor on each count with the sentences to run consecutively.
