In August 1989, George Roberson was charged in a five-count indictment with sexual offenses against the half-sister of his twin daughters. One charge of sexual abuse was alleged to have occurred as Roberson drove the victim and her two half-sisters from his home in Louisville to their home in Jeffersonville, Indiana on June 24, 1989.
