Defendant, Richard C. Gamble, was charged by bill of indictment with two counts of distribution of marijuana, a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance, in violation of La.R.S. 40:966(A)(1). After trial, the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged on the first count and not guilty on the second count.
