On 17 December 1992 defendant pled guilty to second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and discharging a firearm into occupied property. After hearing the evidence and the arguments of counsel, the trial judge found aggravating and mitigating factors and concluded that the aggravating factors outweighed the mitigating factors.
