Plaintiff-appellant James R. Farthing appeals an order of the district court granting defendant-appellee the City of Shawnee's motion for summary judgment. The district court concluded Mr. Farthing did not possess a protected property interest in continued employment with the City and therefore the City's denial of his request for a post-termination hearing did not deprive him of his right to procedural due process.
