Appellant Catherine P. Sack (Cathy) and respondent Rickey Randell Tomlin (Rickey) commenced living together in March of 1984. Six months later Cathy obtained a divorce from her husband, William Sack (William). Pursuant to the divorce decree, Cathy received fee simple ownership to a house in Carson City, Nevada.
