Defendant Joe Clinton Segler pled guilty to manufacturing methamphetamine, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) (1988), and to being a felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). Segler was sentenced to a 300-month term of imprisonment and fined $30,000. On direct appeal, we upheld Segler's conviction and sentence in an unpublished opinion. United States v.
