Jeffrey Lamont Roberts appeals from his convictions for first degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a murder. He contends that the trial court erred in denying his motion to suppress his confession to police in violation of (1) his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination; (2) his Sixth Amendment right to counsel; and (3) Code § 16.1-247, which relates to detention of juveniles.
