The defendant, Dwayne Magee, was charged by grand jury indictment with first degree murder, a violation of La.R.S. 14:30. Prior to trial, Magee sought to have a confession he had given to the authorities suppressed. The trial court denied the defendant's motion to suppress. Magee was later tried and convicted of first degree murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence...
