Transit Management of Southeast Louisiana (TMSEL) and the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) appeal a judgment awarding damages for injuries to a passenger on an RTA bus.

On September 9, 1989, Fernanda Guillen was injured when the rear doors of a bus closed before she cleared the exit. She sued TMSEL, RTA and the bus driver under a negligence theory, and her husband, German Guillen,1 sued for loss of consortium. The...
