Philip King, now deceased, was employed as a painter by Jaffe New York Decorating Company ("Jaffe"). In his first week on the job, King was seriously injured when one of the support ropes holding his boatswain's chair snapped, causing him to fall thirty feet to the ground. King sustained a severe back injury that rendered him a paraplegic, as well as internal damage...
