In June 1987, plaintiff-appellant Sean L. Hao (Sean) was seriously injured in a motorcycle racing accident at Hawai'i Raceway Park (HRP). Following the accident, Sean and his parents (collectively the Haos) filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the First Circuit, State of Hawai'i, alleging, inter alia, negligence on the part of defendant-appellee Campbell Estate.1 Campbell Estate moved for summary judgment...
