Defendant, Earl Jamison, appeals his attempted aggravated rape conviction, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 14:42.

Defendant was charged with two counts of aggravated rape. Count 1 alleged that he committed aggravated rape upon a child under the age of twelve years (his natural daughter) between September 8, 1971, and September 8, 1977.
