HEDGES, Justice.

Appellant, Carolyn C. Glasscock, sued the appellees, Travelers Insurance Co., Income Property Services, Inc. (IPS), and Vanguard Security, Inc. (collectively, the defendants), alleging that their negligence in providing adequate security was the proximate cause of the damages she incurred as a result of being abducted from a parking garage and raped. A jury found Glasscock's abduction and rape were not proximately caused by the negligence...
