Defendant, Dwight Murray, appeals from his conviction of first-degree murder in connection with his alleged bludgeoning of Blanche Gloe, who subsequently died. The case presents substantial issues of legal causation that have arisen because of the fact that the comatose victim's death from pneumonia occurred subsequent to the time that a medical decision was made for cessation of antibiotics and nourishment.
