Deborah Sarvis appeals from her conviction on murder charges stemming from the shooting death of her boyfriend, Oscar Nobles. Sarvis challenges two evidentiary rulings of the trial judge. We affirm.

Sarvis and Nobles met in February 1991, and a relationship developed over the course of the next few months. The relationship was stormy, characterized by heavy drinking by both Sarvis and Nobles, and frequent verbal and physical altercations...
