On March 26, 1992, the trial court entered judgment on a verdict for defendants in a medical malpractice suit. The judgment became final on April 27, 1992. Rule 81.05. To be effective, a notice of appeal was due no later than May 7, 1992. Rule 81.04(a). This court did not grant leave to file a late appeal as authorized by Rule 81.07. A motion for new trial filed on June 26, 1992, was a nullity because it was filed after the trial court lost jurisdiction...
