These consolidated appeals are from deficiency judgments after foreclosure in Colorado on the real property securing the loans. Alpine Federal Savings & Loan Association ("Alpine"), sued John F. Burns ("Burns"), appellant, in two lawsuits to recover deficiencies on nine promissory notes. The cases were tried together to a jury, which found in favor of Burns.
