This appeal arises from a wrongful death suit against appellee Rural Electric Company (REC). Appellant Betty Joann Furman (Furman) alleged negligent construction and maintenance of a high voltage power line caused the death of her son Howard Furman (decedent). Decedent was electrocuted when the aluminum surveying rod he was using contacted a high voltage power line. The jury returned a verdict finding REC zero percent at fault.
