Defendant, Rosemary Griffin, was charged by bill of information with attempted second degree murder, in violation of La.R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1. Originally, defendant pled not guilty but changed her plea to guilty of attempted manslaughter, under North Carolina v. Alford, 400 U.S. 25, 91 S.Ct. 160, 27 L.Ed.2d 162 (1970).
