Following a bench trial, defendant, Eddie Payne, was convicted of unlawful possession of more than 30 grams but not more than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis. (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 56½, par. 704(d).) Defendant was sentenced to two years' imprisonment and order to pay court costs in the amount of $258.
