The defendant, Wesley Robinson, was charged in a three-count indictment in the circuit court of Will County with first degree murder and armed robbery. The defendant pleaded not guilty and was tried before a jury. Pursuant to the defendant's request, an instruction regarding the offense of misdemeanor theft was included.
