Defendant, Darryl Williams, was charged by bill of information with armed robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. Defendant pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was found guilty as charged. Subsequently, defendant was sentenced to imprisonment at hard labor for a term of eighteen years without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence and with credit for time served.
