Following a jury trial, the defendant, Marino Alvarado-Aguilar, was convicted of the unlawful delivery of more than 900 grams of a substance containing cocaine (720 ILCS 570/401(a)(2)(D) (West 1992)). He was sentenced to a term of 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
