Defendant, 15-year-old Nickey Giacomo, was convicted of two counts of aggravated arson (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 38, par. 20-1.1) following a stipulated bench trial. Prior to his trial, defendant filed a motion to suppress, alleging that his statements were not voluntary and that he had not knowingly and intelligently waived his rights.
