Defendant, Michael Duane Windsor, was charged with and convicted of the offenses of third degree sexual assault and menacing, and the jury found that he had previously been convicted of felonies on four separate occasions. Consequently, in addition to receiving a sentence for a term of years for the convictions of the two predicate offenses, he was sentenced to life imprisonment under the habitual criminal statute, § 16-13-101, C.R...
