Defendant, Bobby James Lee, was charged with two (2) counts of theft over $500.00, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67. After a three day jury trial, a six (6) person jury returned a verdict of guilty on one count of theft from Herman Ortego. On the second count, the jury found Lee not guilty of theft from Belinda Estes.
