FACTS

This action arises out of an accident which occurred on November 27, 1990, while Stanley Dixon was being transported by a personnel basket from the M/V Candy Carton to the MARLIN-7. At the time of the accident, Dixon was employed by Cliffs Drilling Company (Cliffs Drilling), owner of the MARLIN-7. Mr. Dixon filed suit against Cliffs Drilling under the Jones Act, 46 U.S.C.App. § 688 and also under the general maritime doctrine...
